The Ministry of Economic Planning is expected to provide principled leadership, oversight and ensure for comprehensive national economic planning in order to achieve the overarching goals of the Fourth National Development Plan (NDP4), namely high and sustained economic growth, employment creation and increased income equality.
This Ministry is further expected to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the Capital expenditure by Offices, Ministries and Agencies and report progress thereto on quarterly basis.
